Tonya,
Thanks for the input. Glad to hear the customer service is good, that’s a very important thing that a lot of rooms seem to forget about. How was the player traffic here ?

The room is really nice, and bright. They have very nice tables and a good atmosphere. They are very new just over a month now, there are a few things I have seen pop up but they are quick to change. They have 2-5 games on going at least a couple of days a week, which is nice. They also have a 40 max buy-in table which is nice for the players that don’t want to get beat up to bad. I think this will be one of the best rooms in the area very soon.

i like the fact that sharkies has a lot freeze out tournaments.

Sharkies has the worst action around. They are luck to get a 3 table tourney. And now that they let Dice (fat Hitler) and Chad (mini napoleon) in I am sure they will chase away any hopes the owner of this room had in trying to stay open.

Good news the old Players has reopened and it now called Boomtown poker room.
Place looks GREAT….

Umm,
Bad news. Its not the same, nor is it even comparable to Players. I have gone there multiple times and they never have any players. I just went last Saturday night for a 7pm tourney, walked in at 645pm and 4 people, 1 of which was the dealer. This place is not going to make it I am afraid, because I love the location and room. Its been open over a couple months now and none of the the local regular players are going there. They are sticking at the dollar king.

Boomtown just started a “time rake” for the month of August.
12-1 no rake
1-2 $1 rake
2-3 $2 rake
3-4 $3 rake
4-5 $4 rake
5-close $5 max rake
Less rake= more $$$ your you…
