Charity poker for who? The stupid ******** *** wipes than don’t have a clue how to play. Is it for the rich only or just the plain flat out greedy SOB’s that already have to much money? Play bingo not poker at nimrods. If you want to play poker, find some people that know how to play not just throw their chips all in on a 4-8 off suit pre flop. If you want to give your money to a pack of ******** then stop by NIMRODS and give it to the *******. They need all the help they can get. **** OFF NIMRODS YOU WILL NEVER GET ANOTHER DOLLAR OUT OF ME.

YOU BETTER NOT CHANGE ONE WORD THAT I SAID. THIS IS STILL AMERICA AND WE ALL HAVE THE RIGHT TO SAY WHAT EVER WE WANT WHEN EVER WE WANT AND TO WHO EVER WE WANT. LET THE TRUTH BE KNOW.
@Makes me want to puke…..Sounds like you had a bad night at Hotrods and you are mad at the world in your post.
Now as far as your second post about your freedom of speech, thanks for the laugh. I did edit your post some. I felt some of the names you choose to call people were out of line. Also on the left side of your keyboard there is a “caps lock” button feel free to turn it off…
“Makes me want to puke” has had much more to say, not much about poker or the poker room, more about me.
After some thinking I have decided to approve his comments to let everyone get a feel for his maturity and to take his comment on this poker room with a grain of salt.

Hey Joe, You think free speach is funny? I bet if you said something some one else did not like you would say “I have free speach” No I did not have a bad night. I have seen this shit going on for over a year and a half now. Hot rods is full of retards, ass wipes, greedy rich and just plain stupid people.
Besides that who the fuck are you to edit my post anyway. You must be one of those people who think they are better than everyone else. So all I have to say about that is “If you think you are better than me than I am already above you” I bet you still belive in God don’t you? While your at it, tell Santa to send you a brain this christmas. By the way idiot Caps are for letting it be known you are pissed off. DUMP ASS!!!

Sounds to me like this Joe person dose not belive in the bill of rights. Anti-American are ya? Why don’t you go home to Binladen you Arabe pos. Plus while you are at it, why don’t you keep up the good work killing the rest of our rights like Obama is doing. You said I must hate the world, No but I do hate people like you. Joe is ANTI-AMERICAN. Don’t belive a word he says.

“SPEAK YOUR MIND” Ok only if it is what Joe wants to hear. I see he is in lansing. Must be freinds with the Governor. Welcome to Michigan “Live our way or don’t live” is that right Joe? Make sure you get her permision first before you respond.
I’m not going to even waste my time with his comments, they are so off topic here it’s not worth it.
“Makes me want to puke”…. If you are ever in the Lansing area let me know I would love to have a coffee with you sometime to discuss poker and politics.
I play down at Hot Rods regularly and yes some people down there really do just try to push people off hands, but you know what, thats the game of Poker.
The room is great atmosphere with friendly staff. Now some of the dealers should learn the game before they deal as I had to let a few of them know that they did do something wrong but its no big deal.
I would like it if they got different chips for the tournaments, and also post a list of the tournament rules. Tired of being at the table with people who want to show each other there cards while they are in a hand.
My only other complaint would be that I would like if the tournament director enforced some rules like no swearing or the showing of cards instead of just standing around texting on their phones.

Setting a player up to think you have nothing and getting them to call you or go all in is poker, not just throwing all your chips in on crap hands hopeing for the best cards. That is playing like a retard.
Puke, your such a tool, poker is all about leverage and playing with your chips. People who throw around their chips hit time and again but most of them become “ATMs” just waiting for a withdrawal. I early play cash games but when I do I can usually walk away with money because I only play good hands and don’t bluff. Puke if u think u have amendment rights, think again. After 9-11 u have little rights. Get over it. Canada is calling if you don’t like it.
Makes me want to puke December 28, 2010 at 4:01 pm
Yep, you only play good hands and don’t bluff, Good for you. As far as amendment rights. I don’t think the Constiution was destroyed in any of that mess and you say “get over it” what an american you are.
Honestly, I wish Puke’s comments would be removed, as it makes navigating this page (which I believe was made as a way of passing along information about a card room) very hard to navigate. The issue of freedom of speech aside, the moderator of this page and site has every right to remove any comments he/she deems unneccessary or derogatory to the purposes of the site. That has nothing to do with America, but instead to do with running a website that has it’s own private domain (michigancardplayer.com). It’s like owning a restaurant… anyone has the right to enter, but once you enter, you are on private property that exists for the purpose of serving the public. “Exists for the purpose of serving the public” — yes, I said that — but still private, and if the owner wants you out, you can damn sure bet he can call the police and they will come and remove you. I seriously hope you remove the comments (then this one), as they aren’t helping your site and may actually deter future guests.
I would love to have a guy going all-in with 4-8 offsuit at my table. What’s he complaining about? You want those donkeys at your table. Learn how to play against them old man.
Hey Puke, do you know how many places that you can go to play poker besides HOT RODS? You can always go to those places and not to hot rods! if you dont like that place so much, “STAY THE HELL AWAY FROM IT!’ I haven’t been there yet. I go to Casinos where they have real dealers! maybe you should try it!! you are such a dumb-ass for stressing yourself out on one little place that you think is a hole in the wall. Or are you the real retard? I hate people that cry all the time cuz they don’t get what they want. stop crying you BABY, and go someplace else!
I’m new to te area and love playing poker.. I am interested in finding some cash games and tournaments.. Any info is greatly appreciated.. Thanks in advance.
Sunday 2:30pm 5 dollar buy in with 5 dollar rebuys
6:30pm 25 dollar buy in no rebuys 12,000 starting chips
Monday 6:30pm 30 dollar buy in no rebuys 30000 starting chips turbo
Tuesday 6:30pm 20 dollar buy in no rebuys 15000 starting chips turbo
Wednesday 6:30pm 30 dollar buy in no rebuys 12000 starting chips
Thursday 6:30pm 25 dollar buy in no rebuys 12000 starting chips
Friday 6:30pm 25 dollar buy in no rebuys 12000 starting chips
Saturday 2:30pm 10 dollar buy in with rebuys 6000 starting chips
6:30pm 10 dollar buy in with rebuys 6000 starting chips
Also they always have a 1/2 dollar blind cash game going with 30 dollar min buy in and 200 dollar max buy in
I go down to Hotrods on occasion. I have a great time every time I win, and not such a great time when I lose. This is standard anywhere I play poker. I find that the people who work there are very friendly. Their cash games are great. Their tournaments are barely playable, due to the ridiculous blind structure.
The quality of player is actually no different than a casino card room. After-all these are the same people who used to frequent those casino card rooms, now they just don’t have to travel as far.
The only thing that is lacking here is 100% consistency with the rules. If you say your room runs by Roberts rules then make sure the floor manager knows the rules inside and out. When a player has an issue and a ruling is made in error, usually because “that’s the way they do it down here” is not acceptable. Overall nothing that can’t be overlooked.
