  • Floor here are great, room runs smooth, dealers seem to know what they are doing, although there’s still a significant lack of players, when I showed up, it was a super easy game.

  • Magician, Thanks for your input. I’m glad to hear of another room using good dealers (makes the game so much more enjoyable). I hope with people seeing that the room runs good, traffic will pick up.

  • Love playing here when they have a charity, it’s in a spacious environment, great food and just a fresh clean smelling atmosphere, most players here are very friendly with very few major arguments, dealers are very good as well, my best choice in town is to play here, providing they can keep it going and maintain a player base, 2 thumbs up !!!

  • GREAT PLACE!!! I love the game and Im glad to see there are NO REBUYS!! That makes the game a hell of alot better when you dont have to worry about the dumb ass people that dont know how to play but keep rebuying trying to get lucky! go play cash games ya fool! -anyways… great pro tables, decent dealers, 1 maybe 2 good looking waitresses.. nice bar / games — and when you get knocked out by me… go play some pool :)

  • We, the APPA – american poker players association, rated this room #1 in Southern Michigan. They have a Large open well lit room with 16 pedistal leg tables with custom speed cloth. There are (12) 50″ plasma tvs and (2) large projector screens. they are really trying for that westcost poker room look. When we were there they had 140 players for there tournament and later had 6 cash games going. They really did a good job!

  • Full of old guys who have been playing poker forever, think they know a lot but have never once picked up a poker book, attempted to understand the math behind it all, or even thought about long term, and a +ev. With that being said all of their insecurity in their poker play leads to them trying to explain every move they make and justify them after the hand is over. The stakes are low (25-35 buy in) and the winner usually takes home anywhere between 500-1000; there are normally 60-120 entries in the tournament, and usually around the top 12ish places cash. the standard 3xbbr doesn’t usually work till the higher blind levels, in the early levels i usually ajust to 6xish and still have around 6 callers… yeah they will play anything, I’ve been c/c all the way down by guys with small unimproved pocket pairs more times than I can count. If your a twoplustwo/Selanski style player like me this place is a gold mine for you. I haven’t won yet, but I’ve only been 3 times and came as close as 9th place. So if your a solid player finishing ITM shouldn’t be to hard. NO r+a which is good.

  • Kell, easy on us old guys, just kidding, thanks for your input on the room. I have never played here but now that I am getting back into poker after a break from it, Electric Slicks is a room I plan to visit.

  • I agree with Kell, but this is an excellent room. I have been to many others in the area and this one is the best by far. The 7 p.m. tournaments on Friday and Saturday regularly draw 100-180 people. I havent played in a cash game yet, but on those nights I have seen as many as 6 tables going for cash. I have finished 1st and fourth in the past month, and don’t know if this happens all the time, but they brought food out around midnight free for everyone.

The 4 p.m. tournaments on those days draws a decent size crowd as well, usually around 50-80 players, and on Sunday at 4:00 they have a $100 deep stack tournament which I only played in once but had 50 players (got knocked out in 11th).

Oh, and one last thing….the waitresses are hott if you want something to look at between hands. They also announced last week that they will have the NFL Sunday Ticket, and with 15+ TVs they will have all the games running.

    Good Luck!!

  • Checked out the Electric Slick last Thursday night, 60 players solid tourney with good dealers and zero issues with players that I saw. Solid poker with solid structures and stacks. I live an hour away but am planning future trips for the Friday tourneys which we were told usually have about 120 players. Also one of the very few rooms I’ve seen with afternoon tourneys(1pm and 4 pm)

  • made the trip up there once. one of the ladies working the floor was a bit of a bitch to put it mildly, and I’m not one to typically get upset. other than that, it was a fine place to play. definitely not worth the 45min/1hr drive though if you have other places to play in Michigan.

  • I totally agree with Kell. Plenty of fish who probably do not know anything about the math or odds of the game, and never read a poker book in their life. They will call an UTG 6x blinds or all ins with any weak Ace. Structure of tournaments, imho, is miserable, and reminds me of turbos at Greektown. May be their limited time of operation forces such, but they could change it and introduce ante to speed it up. Other than that, it is a great room and players are treated well.
